Every one of us would like to take a picture of the different times of sunset, before and after, as they all are exciting, one more beautiful then the other. This time I chose the Fiumicino's scenario as I decided to take pictures of fishermen.
All photos are in color and I used two camera lenses, a 70-300 and a 16-85 mm respectively.
I started shooting at about 6 pm and I shot the last frame just before 9 pm.
Photos are available for viewing at my gallery titled:
The Sun Goes Down.
Enjoy the Gallery and "ciao" to all of you.
My fishing experiences began around my tenth birthday. My family lived not far from the harbor and in my curious visits to the pier I was able to observe and learn the various techniques of the experienced fishermen.
I started with the line, without a cane. I didn't spend so much on buying some shrimps to the fishmonger that were not so fresh and I used them as a bait. The biggest fish I caught was a good bream about 350 grams and in pulling it on the pier, some fishermen started teasing me saying I had caught a shark.
Then my uncle gave me a small fishing rod and another adventure began.
All this to tell you that I quite know how you can feel like standing on a pier for a long time, sometimes under a burning Sun or bad weather, mindful of the smallest movements of your line or barrel. Most often you go home empty-handed but the dream is always inside you thinking about the next day hoping who knows what great fishing could become.
And now we come to one of my latest photographic works we can find in my gallery whose title is "The Fishermen of Fiumicino".
Many times when I went to Fiumicino, for various reasons, I was always telling myself that I wanted to photograph the pier and the fishermen, fish stalls and even the sunset that is always amazing in all seasons. This time I finally photographed the fishermen and then I took advantage of capturing various moments of the sunset.
Almost all the photos in the gallery are in black and white except the last ones I preferred to present in color as they were taken in the moment when the Sun was giving us his warmest greeting and I preferred to propose them with the delicate colors that characterize them. I think that it is clear enough to you how I love the whole world of photography from black and white to color and beyond.
Enjoy the Gallery and see you soon.
Bye for now.

Rieti's Geese, Along the river e Boats and Tubs Racing.
Buona visione e a presto.
A few years ago we have been in Rieti and I have been able to admire the gorgeous geese that generally stand at the Roman bridge.
We came back on June 18 and this time I wanted to walk along the banks of the Velino River, trying to take some other photos of the snowy birds.
We did not know that that day was occurring the most spectacular event of the city, which found its strong point in the race of boats and also in the hilarious race of tubs used as boats with a single hoe and of course a single "sneaker".
My new photographic works can be found in my galleries that have the following titles respectively:
Rieti's Geese, Along the River and Boats and Tubs Racing.
Good vision and see you soon.
Sometimes I feel great emotions when I return to places I have already visited in the past and then take other photos. Places are always those but time is different so everything becomes as if seen for the first time.
Let's take this photo, for example, taken during an afternoon of almost summer at Ostia at its most famous pier. This pier and its public change depending on the seasons. I've already photographed it and maybe I still want to photograph it again especially on winter days, to mean possibly with dark big clouds and rain.
Hi everyone and see you soon.
Grazie a voi tutti e a presto.
Fragrance, this is the name of the wonderful rose that this year has won the first place at the Rose Garden of the Aventine in Rome. We were there last Sunday and wanted to photograph these beautiful works of nature, using this time a Nikkor 35mm f 1.8. and a dated 28-70 Silver f 3.3.
There were many visitors and we had a bright, sunny day.
The second prize was won by the rose called "The Painter's Rose".
You may see both by browsing my gallery PanchromArt Studio.

Almost every day, from Monday to Friday, my photographic works are also posted on Facebook, Google plus and Twitter. All photos are grouped by themes like Color, Black and White, Montage and not only, the so-called Street Photography, and finally we have a section dedicated to design and digital painting, that I wished to name it Akademia.
Thus we have PanchromArt Studio for Color, MonochromArt Studio for Black and White, The Garden of Mirros for montage, and not only, the so-called Street Photography and then Akademia.
The daily shared photos are 2 for Color, 2 for Black and White, 2 for The Garden of Mirrors, 6 for Street Photography and 2 other photographic works then go to Akademia.
Photos are pubblicised in the morning and in the early afternoon.
A couple of times a week, then I try to find the way to propose again some of my previously shared photos that are posted from My Box Gallery.
As you can see there are 14 photos for my daily publications and all this creates a strong commitment that is however mitigated in discovering the hot interest raised by many of you and for that I wish to thank you all from the deep of my heart.
Every year in the late spring the municipal garden of the Aventino Roses Garden, opens its gates to the public. The visits are free and you can admire the wonderful specimens that are over 1000.
Again this year I wanted to try and photograph this one that is the most famous flower among all the others. The lens used was the Nikkor 105mm f / 2.8 micro which also gave me the chance to capture some bees in their hard work. I also wanted to use the flash sometimes, the day was slightly cloudy, just to have a little help for the colors.
Soon there will be the awards and we'll know which of these beautiful nature works will be crowned Queen of the Year.
I'll look after it and will inform you as soon as possible.
Thank you all for the consultation of my gallery titled "Roses" and see you soon.
Since some time, from Monday to Friday, I have been publishing some of my photos in the galleries to which I wanted to give the following names:
PanchromArt for Color, MonochromArt for Black and White, The Garden of Mirrors for various photography themes and not only, Street Photography, and finally Akademia for my digital paintings and graphics works.
On the day after sharing, after checking my site's statistics, I can tell which of the above photos has been, so to say, more successful and therefore worthy of being counted as Picture of the Day.
These "photos of the day" reached, with the passing of time, a considerable number and then I wanted to replay them with video presentations, slideshow, of 100 photos at a time. Below you will find the last video that is the number 5, you'll find the others in the same library.
Good vision and thanks for your time.

The Pentacon Six Tl was one of my first cameras and also my favorite companion for many photographic experiences. It has no automatism at all. I bought it from some Russians who passed through Rome and traded at Porta Portese. It had a base 80mm f 2.8 lens and together they gave me a 120mm and the famous 180mm. All the lenses were the original Zeiss Jena of the former Germany DDR. After some months I bought the wonderful wide-angle 50mm f 4.
Being a medium size camera I had to use the roll film 120 and with a roll made for 12 poses many times I came out 13, anticipating a bit about loading the film.
Unfortunately, the defect of this camera body was the shutter charge lever, being in fact a bit small compared to the work it had to sustain. The result was that after a while the frames sometimes overlapped.
I have re-bought it after many years from a friend who in turn bought some new Pentacon in Poland. This my last Pentacon Six TI has the years it has, but it's like a new one as coming just now from the factory.
I have also purchased other lenses such as the 300mm and the mastodontinc 500mm.
I was also able to buy the extension tubes and the macro bellows. I want to say that I have almost its complete kit.
Sometimes when I get assaulted by some nostalgia, I take it and I go around shooting my photos after loading an Ilford 120 roller film.
The taste of each frame has the flavor of old times when I spent many hours reading and rereading various manuals and handbooks about photography.

Another Portrait, is the title of this black and white photo that portrays my little "great" granddaughter Bebbe. His beloved smart eyes once again looked into one of my many lenses glancing with a sweet smile. The photo has been selected Picture of the Day of 2nd of May 2017.
At the next photography "adventure" I would like to change the angle of shooting and be photographed by my dear Bebbe. Then we'll take a photo to Grandpa and another of Bebbe changing the roles. After that we will make a collage in the so-called Lightroom.

The twiggy figure of the woman was there on the seafront. At what was looking that woman who to judge hurriedly by the hairs could be by now a little ahead with the years?
She was looking at the sea and the surrounding view. And perhaps the dangled waves of the sea were trying to make reappearing some memories, sweet or bitter, making them visible to her dreamy eyes.
E quindi, eccoli!!
Long walk to the Lungotevere with descents and climbing stairs on the two shores of the Tiber. Our dear river is always there and its flow seems to tell the millennial history of the eternal city.
I have seen these grass clumps that in the water movement seemed wanting to tell me something and then I thought it good photographing them and from the very beginning the title that came to my mind was "Graphics". And so here they are!!
